Halloween @ The Farm Cradle Country Tasmania

We love a reason to throw a themed dinner or two here at The Farm Cradle Country with family & friends. It might have a little to do with managing a creative event agency in another life for the better of 12 years before following a calling for a tree change. I guess you can take the girl out of events but you can’t take events out of the girl.

This year we chose a theme of “ Mystics & Magic” which was attended by a few notable guests from Hogwarts, some Voodoo Dr’s a Dark fairy or two and a Fortune Teller.

We chose a colour theme of purple, black and gold in keeping with the dark side of mystics and magic. The walls were lined with black curtains and fairylights and the ceiling had purple uplighting to bounce off the ceiling centrepiece made from fallen tree branches and bracken which is a nuisance plant here on the farm but looks amazing & sufficiently eerie spray painted in purple and gold tones, add a fake spider or a hundred and it looked a treat.

Setting the scene were crystal ball place cards, menus and a personalised glass for each guests chosen character, of course no mystics and magic event would be complete without an abundance of tarot cards around the table, cloches of skeletons and spiders, lanterns and an abundance of candlelight.
