Extended our stay for two more days as the more time we spend here the more things we find to visit. Mole creek pub for a Tiger Pie is worth the visit and more places along the coast. Back at camp it is incredibly quiet with two Wedge Tailed Eagles visiting us here, again Shae and Steve Great hosts.

I had such a great time camping at the farm. Everything is so close including the town of Sheffield to stock up on supplies. The animals were awesome especially my two favourites Kevin & Bevin the goats. Shae and Steve were great hosts, super helpful.

The farm was such a peaceful place. The animals were friendly and a joy to be around. Shae and Steve were lovely hosts and very helpful about the local attractions. The farm campsite is only 30 minutes from Cradle Mountain with the drive being absolutely beautiful.

We had a fabulous stay at The Farm Cradle Country. Shae and Steve were so lovely and made us feel welcome, giving us free range around the farm to explore and enjoy the good life.
My girls named it the number one spot on our travels and spent most of their time hanging with the ladies (chickens) and Kevin and Bevin (goats).
We also enjoyed the most magical full moon rising over Mt Roland, while sitting around the communal fire pit.
We will definitly stay again in Autunm when we plan a return visit to catch the Fagus on Cradle Mountain.

What a peaceful place. Shae & Steve are amazing hosts and were very welcoming. Their local knowledge is on point, having given us many great suggestions for things to do while in the area. The short drive to Cradle Mountain is picturesque but what surprised us the most is how many spectacular mountains are at the North West of Tasmania and how close the farm was to all of them. Its such a special place without the crowds. Moo Moo & Teenie the cows are adorable as are Kevin & Bevin the goats. The communal fire pit was a great place to sit of an evening and chat about the days exploring.

Our family had a fabulous time at The Farm Cradle Country. Lots of site options available, idillic and relaxing outlook over the paddocks or up to the nearby Mountains. Very well located to explore the surrounding area. Farmer Steve was very welcoming and fabulous in helping us set up in the best site. We loved meeting Kevin, Bevan, Teeny, Moo Moo and all the chickens. The kids didn’t want to leave!

Great little spot where we spent two nights in our camper trailer. Hosts were great and also offered us some extra blankets as the temperature really dropped on our second night.
Greeted with a bag of wheat to feed the goats and chickens on the farm which was a highlight.

I cannot express how lovely our stay was with Shae and Steve. We stayed in the front paddock over two separate weekends and had a really peaceful stay in a beautiful location. Steve was great and gave us feed for the farm animals and set up a camp fire, which our daughter loved. We highly recommend this campground.

Fantastic, peaceful getaway. Shae and Steve are lovely hosts, and went that extra mile to make us feel welcome and looked after. The Plateau is a great spot with some pretty spectacular views of the countryside. We had our 5mth old puppy with us and she was able to run about and enjoy herself to her hearts content. There was a lot of great bird life to observe, but mostly we enjoyed the quiet.
A tip for those intending to camp in a tent, the wind can really rip through such a big open space so be prepared for winds and bring lots of tent pegs!

What a beautiful place to camp up at. Lovely soft green grass to park on (dog loved it). Heaps of room for a heck of a lot of people. Hosts were brilliant. Helped with a little bit of cattle movement (back into the right paddock). Would recommend it to everyone. Close to Cradle Mtn and just 15km out of Sheffield for shopping.

Best nights sleep we’ve had since camping this holiday; was quiet, lovely views of the farm and the owners made us feel more than welcome.

Quiet spot on Steve and Shae's farm with a nice outlook across their paddocks (that were full of cattle at the time). We got a tour of the farm, including meeting the new calves and hand feeding the friendly pet goats Kevin and Bevin. Steve and Shae were extremely nice and I would highly recommend camping on their farm if you're looking to stay in the area.

Great proximity to Cradle Mountain if you have a dog, we felt safe to leave ours behind for the day while we explored. Friendly and proud hosts. Heaps of room for bigger rigs! Stunning sunsets over the fields.

The best camp we’ve ever stayed at! Steve and Shae were so great and absolutely went above and beyond for us! Our son loved collecting the chook eggs and patting the calves during feeding time. Steve even helped us out with an issue with our jockey wheel by welding it. So much space and so quiet :)
11/10 and will definitely be coming back when we’re in Tassie next!!

Farmer Steve was so wonderful with our child, showing him around and letting him help feed the animals and collect the eggs.
The kind of place were the serenity just captures you, and you don’t want to leave.

Easy access & big sites. Close to Cradle Mountain & Mole Creek without the crowds, although I would imagine it would be a popular spot during peak times. Peaceful campsites surrounded by farmland. Will definitely be back.

Such a wonderful and peaceful place to stay. Beautiful scenery, with the most lovely views and colours at sunset. Only ones there the first night, and it was so quiet. Another van arrived late the following evening, didn't hear a peep from them as no one is too close. The farm itself was lovely to look around, and our child absolutely loved feeding the baby cows and two goats. "Farmer Steve" (as he was dubbed by the small human) is so good with kids. He even let us go and collect some eggs from the hen house. We were offered use of the fire pit, with everything needed in the wagon, along with an offer of assistance if needed. Definitely could've spent another few nights there if we didn't have time limitations. Likely to return on our way around the top again, as it was just so beautiful.

Our first Farm Stay and it was so much more than we expected. Great flat ground, plenty of green grass and open space. Shae and Steve are the perfect welcoming hosts, with their caring natures and warm hearts. Shae gave us lots of helpful travel information and Steve had a friendly chat every day. We enjoyed being introduced to the calves, goats and chickens and even getting to feed them. We highly recommend this as a great place to stay. Thank you so much Shae and Steve. We’ve been travelling around Tasmania for the past 6 weeks, and this was our favourite campsites of the whole trip. It was a great place to base ourselves to explore the North West and Cradle Mountain. The hosts, Steve and Shae, were so friendly, kind and helpful. The kids loved feeding the cows, goats and chickens, eating the fresh eggs and veggies and blackberry picking around the farm. The campsite itself is very flat and the size of each site is very generous. The scenery is beautiful and the place is so peaceful. We had the best time and would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

We loved The Farm Cradle Country. By far our favourite camp site in Tasmania. Beautiful land with some of the best views. Steve and Shae are the best, nicest and most generous people. They made us and our kids feel at home in their amazing farm. They made us feel like we found life long friends. We didn’t want to leave. Kids also loved feeding the livestock. Highly recommended.
