STEAMFEST, SHEFFIELD

Held every March long weekend the Sheffield Steamfest is not to be missed! Marvel at the steam powered machines, ride the local steam train or watch a good old fashioned country tractor pull. Roam the market stalls while snacking on delicious local food from the many food stalls. A great weekend out in the country.

Held every year, a showcase of the best local flora on display for locals and visitors to see. Some stunning and unique varieties on display. A great day out for the floral enthusiast.

A showcase of locally grown, made and gathered food and beverage of the North-West Coast. A great weekend of festive activities and tasting local delights. Pack a picnic rug and head into Sheffield for a day of food and fun.

SHEFFIELD MURAL FEST

Mural Fest is both a mural art competition and festival held annually in Sheffield, Tasmania’s ‘Town of Murals’. The first of its kind in the world, the competition is held in Mural Park, a purpose-built ‘outdoor art gallery’ in the heart of Sheffield, which attracts artists and visitors from around Australia and the world.

CRADLE MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL

The annual Cradle Mountain Film festival is in its 6th year. The program includes Green Carpet screenings and adventurer Q&As in a Forest Yurt Cinema, family-friendly films, self-guided Mountain Huts Film Trail, Tasmanian short adventure films, filmmakers' workshops, outdoor activities including canyoning, yoga and cold water therapy, Mountainfilm on Tour screenings.

MOUNT ROLAND FOLK FESTIVAL

Mount Roland Folk Festival, Sheffield - Nov 15 - 17. 2024

The Mount Roland Folk Festival will run from the evening of Friday 15 Nov until Sunday 17 Nov finishing around 4pm. The three main venues are the Sheffield town hall, the Sheffield Uniting church and the Drill hall.

The Festival is a showcase of acoustic and folk music genres featuring local and interstate musicians as well as dance, poetry, workshops and master classes.
